 VETTING

 PROCESS

To become a "Vetted Member" of Gray Wolf's Den means one is trusted to attend events and expected to behave in a manner consistent with the rules of the house.  All members of GWD must attend our Orientation which is a reading and explanation of our House Rules.

There are a few ways to become vetted into Gray Wolf's Den; these are:

  • Vetting Munches:

    • Vetting munches help us get to know you and give us an opportunity to share with you our house rules and other important information.  Note: If you are partnered, your partner must also attend a Vetting Munch if they wish to attend GWD events.

    • Vetting Munches are held  at a restaurant in Mint Hill, N.C. generally on the Tuesdays prior to our monthly events. You can find details on our next Vetting Munch posted on the "Monthly Events" page.

  • Vouching By A Member:

    • To be "Vouched For" means that someone who knows you will attest to your integrity and maturity and feels you would be a good addition to the GWD membership.  A member in good standing can vouch for you as long as that member has attended at least one GWD event. If you are being vouched for, you must arrive early to attend the Orientation at your first play party; there you will also receive and sign the House Rules and Waiver.

    • If you are being vouched for, you must have the person vouching for you contact Gray Wolf to personally vouch for you prior to attending the event.

    • When Vouching for someone, be mindful that you are attesting to them against your own reputation and integrity.  Do not vouch for someone you do not know well.

  • Vouching By A Community Leader:

    • You can also be vouched for by a leader of the BDSM/Kink community who is well known and respected in the community (e.g. a leader of Naughtia's Toybox, CAPEX, LoftNC, etc.) who is willing to vouch for you.

    • If you being vouched for, you must have the person vouching for you contact Gray Wolf to personally vouch for you prior to attending the event.

All Vettees are considered Vetted once they have attended their first event. You may not bring an unvetted guest until your second event when you are qualified to vouch for that person.

ID's will be checked to verify you are whom you say you are and that you are 21 or older.

Ultimately, Gray Wolf makes the final decision on all vetting.
